Celtic Countryside Services requested a logo that was clean, friendly and reflected what the industry position is. Their main business is woodland services such as tree surgery, tree planting and clearing. The acorn is a recognisable shape that instantly reminds the viewer of a tree or nature. This simple symbol was combined with a growing shoot to show the company believed in renewing as well as clearing woodlands.
The feeling of regrowth was important to iterate as the woodland services industry can be seen to have negative impacts on nature. The green and brown also enforces the idea of nature, as well as being the primary colours found in a woodland.
The typeface is tied to the Celtic roots of the company, the gradient across the mark keeps the logo looking clean and also adds a modern touch.
